The British Field of Honour in Bergen op Zoom houses the graves of 1,296 fallen soldiers. Most of the fallen (mostly British) died during the fighting around the Scheldt in late 1944 and during the liberation of the south-west of the Netherlands.
In the hall giving access to the cemetery is a register with the names of these soldiers. Each grave has a tombstone of white natural stone with an embossed emblem and cross.
