The WW2 and Airmen's Museum Sky of Hope gives a face to the airmen who crashed in the Rivierenland region. The museum displays personal items of the downed airmen, civilian victims, resistance fighters and Jews.

The purpose of the museum is to make permanently visible the Air and World War II as it took place over the River Region. By honoring Allied airmen and civilians who gave their lives or were captured. Recording this history and making it permanently available.

A permanent exhibition has been set up at Fort near Asperen where films, photographs, documents and parts of aircraft will be on display and where the stories of the pilots, resistance fighters and ordinary people will be told.

The museum is located on the second floor of the fort tower at Fort near Asperen. Open from May through September Wednesday through Sunday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. (the fort tower can also be visited).
